On Valentines Day in 2023, I was in a car accident in Milford, ME. The experience turned my passenger side mirror into a shattered relic that was imbued with the fear, surprise, anger and relief I was feeling.

The piece plays with the etymology of reflection, illustrating the physical and psychological definitions of the word. The photos that have been dissected were all from my personal collection and have no copies, so once they are destroyed, there is no recovering the image.
