“Eye of the Synthesizer” was both a way to practice new software and become comfortable with presenting my personal archive in a public sphere. The synthesized versions of the pictures better represent the memories as they exist in my mind, jumbled and abstracted. Without the physical photos to jog my memory, I would forget the faces of the people I traveled with, the places we went, and the experiences we shared.

The images were all digitized polaroids from a two-week road trip in New Zealand. Each image was paired with a road tripping song, and were synthesized with videos using EBSynth, which abstracted any recognizable features.
